Description
The National Association of Local Government Auditors has changed its name to the Association of Local Government Auditors. The association will go by the acronym ALGA (formerly N.A.L.G.A.). A task force had recommended the new name, in part because charter members in 1989 originally established the organization as the "Association of Local Government Auditors." The ALGA vote came on May 23rd during the business meeting in San Jose, Calif., with more than 90 percent in favor of the name change. While a new website is being developed, ALGA information will continue to be available on this website.
We can all benefit from other ideas and discussions. Abstracts tell us what you did, articles tell us how and why you did it. Be critical. Be a mentor. Be helpful. Get involved. Think about your daily working environment.
