CRACYP is an Ecuadorian-registered NGO. CRACYP stands for Corporacion Red Arborizadora Campo y Progreso, which is Spanish for Rural Forestation & Development Network Corporation.
The website has information about our projects, which include eco-tourism, community banks, organic agriculture (sugarcane farming), community development and appropriate technology for agriculture. Projects in the pipeline include recycling, irrigation, bio-fuels and scholarships for young volunteers in Ecuador.
A sustainable organic conservation project for the Galapagos Islands will soon be underway. The first volunteer opportunity in the Galapagos Islands is for a skilled woodworker. Group volunteer placements in the Galapagos will be available for summer 2009.
