Meetmatch.com was started by Mr. K. S. Rao & Mrs Vrinda Suresh Rao in 1999, and since then it has helped many eligible Indians worldwide to find their perfect matches.
In India, for thousands of years, elders arranged marriages. The brides and grooms had no say in selecting their partners. The partners were chosen from the same community and vicinity, so it was very easy to find and know the candidates, their families, their backgrounds etc.
Even in modern India, elders or some professional matchmakers arrange most of the marriages from amongst the same communities, although a lot of inter-caste love marriages also happen.
