Strasburg, VA: Stewart-Matheny Farm
About (they say): SoundQuilt 2009 is a.k.a. Old School Summer. The first SQ happened a long time ago in a place far away. Now, in the tradition of Walnut Grove Block Party, SoundQuilt, ShortMan's Fall-Down, Three Pieces & a Biscuit, Retreat Jam, Salvage Fest, Open Night, Fool on the Hill and Gathering of Guests & Ghosts, Walnut Grooves presents Old School Summer at Stewart-Matheny Farm near to Strasburg, in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. More info at the SQ website.
Note: The site is lacking in a few ways. There is no contact or booking info at all. That may change when the time gets closer though. Seems very locally driven.

They say for Artists : To be considered for future festivals, send a cd/demo, and we'll give it a good long listen. We can listen online, but cd's get played longer and louder on our stereo than songs on the laptop. Our staff is tiny (see: non-existent), so we aren't able to send cd's back, or respond to emails and phone calls (it's not that we're not friendly, but the volume is huge). We'll get in touch if it's in the mix !
