Cari Haus, Owner and President of Log Cabin Rustics, has more than two decades of business experience and has been selling furniture online for more than 5 years. As a CPA in private practice, Cari always enjoyed watching successful business people wear the "many hats" required to grow and manage their businesses. Cari left public accounting in the 1990’s and began selling first books and then rustic furniture on the Internet.
"Many of my customers spend $2-4,000 online on furniture. I enjoy finding the best quality at the best prices for them, and making sure the furniture arrives safely at their door." Cari has developed business relationships with a number of Amish craftsmen, in addition to a large furniture manufacturer located within 3 miles of Log Cabin Rustics. "My goal—and the goal our entire furniture business—is to ensure that quality log furniture is sent to our customers," says Cari.
"Of the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of log furniture I have shipped over the past 5 years, I have only had two orders ever come back to me. One was for shipping damage which I couldn’t control, and one was from a customer who didn’t understand that the slight cracks which arise in cedar logs, which are called checking, are a natural part of the wood rather than a defect."
