Description
Excerpted from the website:
- Photo restoration always uses raster bitmap images, such as Jpeg, PNG, Tiff, etc. Photographs can be scanned in for digital image enhancement as any hi-resolution raster bitmap, such as BMP, TGA, Jpeg, PNG, Tiff, etc. Graphic design and custom web design don't require raster bitmap image to render an image, however, using digital photos in design is commonly preferred by artist and client alike. Raster bitmap image file formats can save at 16, 24, and 32 bits-per-pixel. At the two highest levels, the pixels themselves can carry up to 16,777,216 different colors. Bitmaps images saved at 24 bits per pixel are great quality images, but of course the file size is triple that of an 8 bit image. Photo repair, photo enhancement, photo retouching, photo restoration and any other type of digital photo editing will require the use of raster bitmap images.
