- Boat Fractional Yachting- Beneteau's Fractional Ownership program for sailboats allows sailors to get virtually as much sailing time on their yacht as desired. Using a simple online scheduler, each of the 4 owners can login and schedule when ever they want to use their shared sailboat. The local Beneteau Dealership handles all the maintenance while Nautic7 handles all the financial management of the yacht. Owners "check-on" and "check-off" the boat using a proprietary on-board PDA device that reports back to the other owners and to the service department any thing that may be astray with the sailboat. There are only 4 owners on each boat so owners rarely have scheduling conflicts. Essentially, an owner controls all the time through there scheduler but only pays 1/4 of the sales price of the boat 1/4 of the operating casts and all the work on maintaining the boat is taken care of for them.
When it comes to fractional ownership, this is the best kind. You have all the control of the use of time and none of the ownership maintenance responsibilities and no one is scooping off the top.
