Social Work in Progress is an organization of social workers and volunteers who help in the caring for and rehabilitating families, individuals and small groups. They also help in the training and development of new social workers.

- Geriatric Care Management Services
- They provide a step by step program to help the user in resolving their problems of dealing and coping with old age. They also address all the legal as well as the financial concers of the user in regard to living arrangements and other end of life issues
- Professional Development
- They specialize in training and developming social work staff and teaches them to critically thinking and clinical judgment so as they can better take care of and understand their charge.
- Temporary Social Work
- Social Work in Progress also provides temporary social work services, Which means they can substitute regular care givers who are on leave so that the care giving process does not stop. In addtion to this they provide clinical consultation to skilled rehab and nursing centers throughout Greater Boston.
