Helpful Information
- Free Stuff
Let's face it, the Internet is getting crowded and it's getting tougher to compete, let alone launch a new website. So a couple of news publishers got together with the online marketing folks over at Cervella in developing MediaExperiments, a free resource for online studies and polls that clears away the clutter and makes complex almost seem simple when it comes to operating an online business.
The first outcome of MediaExperiments was an eight-week study covering a host of Pay-Per-Click search engines in which they were rated for Customer Support; Reporting; Accuracy in deliverable clicks; and Quality of visitors. Ratings were based on an alphabetical scale of: A, Excellent; B, Above Average; C, Average; D, Below Average; and F, Failing.
A news article titled "When Pay-Per-Click Goes Per-Clunk" outlines the Study and a link can be found in it to send for your free copy. Yes, free.. And on top of that, respondents are being asked to fill out a Survey on their own experinces in PPC advertising using the same rating scale and questions we composed to see how our ratings stack up against their own experiences. Respondents will receive a free copy of those results, which we deem an expanded version of the Study we undertook.
- Why did we do it?
Because no one else ever has, and most people who've advertised online come away feeling like there had to be somewhere they could go to find some straight answers before they plunk down their hard earned cash.
- Editor's Comment
"The article has stired controversy amongst the advertising community and no wonder, no one's ever 'bared it all' before and especially a news publisher. But then, if the news won't cover it, who will?"
- Eric Stevenson
