Discussion
- Is there a way for everyone who wants to be a contact person to new people to create their own standard welcome and for the bot to divy out welcomes randomly or in sequence among these people. Example: User1 gets Kasey's welcome message, User2 gets Ted's, User3 gets Kristina's, User4 gets Mark's, an so on until the cycle starts over? Or if the bot could be smart enough to see who was currently online and give new people messages from those people that would be beautiful too. Kristina .talk. .chat. 15:43, 27 February 2008 (PST)
Implementation of Auto-Welcome Idea
What we need:
- Auto-Welcome dev task
- Community task
- Tagging the welcomers with Category:Initial Welcomer
- Having each welcomer's standard welcome live at User:Username/Welcome (additonal welcomes at User:Username/Welcome2 and so on optional)
Implementation Details
- User:Username/Welcome (If dev chooses to implement more than one welcome per person it would be User:Username/Welcome2 and so on.)
