- Jon Holmquist first began taking photographs using a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye when he was in grade school. As a native Oregonian, he grew up hiking and climbing in the Cascade Mountains, wandering the beaches of the Oregon Coast, and taking trips to the arid high plateau of Eastern Oregon - surrounded by some of the most striking beauty in the country.
