Configuring Netatalk to Work with OS X
This page was created to aid others in configuring netatalk to work under Linux, with both Apples OS X, and OS 9 clients. Some people have had a difficult time getting Netatalk to work with OS X clients. This is, I suspect, primarily due to the fact that OS X does NOT connect via appletalk, but works only over tcp connections. I do not deal here with installing, or compiling the software, as the default netatalk, that comes with your distribution, should work fine.
