Future Fit Training was founded in 1993. At that time, Rob and Kath Johnson were managing a number of health clubs, and were becoming very dissatisfied with the standards of training and expertise offered by instructor job applicants. There was obviously a need for better training, higher standards and for more consistency and value in qualifications. This led them to believe that they could improve on the training offered by other organisations, including colleges. And so Future Fit Training was born, first as a local training provider, and three years later as a national company.
In 1997, Future Fit Training became the first training provider to offer the newly launched NVQ Level 2 in Exercise and Fitness (which is now the bench-mark entry qualification for the industry), and have continued to be the leading provider of this award ever since.
Since then, we have grown, but have never lost sight of the need to drive up standards of teaching, and to deliver meaningful qualifications that employers take notice of.
