Title
Fuel Cell Control Ltd - Alkaline Fuel Cells and Control Equipment, Watford, UK
Description
The company was established in September 1999 to design and manufacture Control Systems for use with Fuel Cells. For the first two years the company produced control equipment used in ZETEK program "0" and program "A" fuel cells. This included PLC control software, DC/DC converters, specialist pumps and drives, valves, and control gear.
In 2001 the company joined the Zetek systems integrator program and worked with Alternative Fuel Systems on the design and production of 2.5kW demonstration fuel cell engines. These were first shown at the opening of the Cologne factory in March 2001 and the repackaged version, known as Microcell, shown for the first time at Hannover Fair in April of 2001.
The company now has a full time business manufacturing these Fuel Cells and associated control equipment for use in demonstration programs and latterly in telecommunications systems.
