The Unwanted Stranger
Sitting in the back of the restuant Ellen Brookmier is sipping on her Brandy, trying to forget the calls shes been getting everynight at 3:00am, How does he know her name? Who is he? How did he get her number or her address? Why is he calling, Why does he keep saying the same thing over and over? his voice wont stop in her head, " Ellen, Eeeellen, Eeeellennn! your alone, I can see you, yoouuur ALL aalonnne!" and he hangs up.
She jumps as her cell phone is ringing. Grabbing at it she answers it, "Ellie are you there? Hello, Ellen?" It was Brian, her best friend, they have known eachother since high school.
"Brian, Brian." Tears running down her face. "Ho Brian."
"Ellie, whats wrong, are you ok?"
Choaking, trying not to let him know anything is wrong. " Yes, I'm ok, nothings wrong."
"Ellie, I know you, whats wrong?"
"Nothing just been a long week, please everythings fine."
Why couldnt she tell him, she needed to talk to someone, shes always been able to talk to Brian.
"I promise."
"Ellen, I know somethings up and you know that I am always here, ok?"
"Ok, Brian?"
"Yes?"
"Thankyou." Looking around it seemed everyone was looking at her, was he here watching her, listening to her every word, was he waiting for her to say something?
"Goodnite, Brian."
