Title
St. John's Clean and Beautiful
Description
St. John's City Council on April 8, 1991 to apply for certification with Keep America Beautiful, Inc. (KAB). Subsequently, St. John's Clean and Beautiful became certified as a KAB affiliate in October 1991 and hence became incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1992. As a city-wide program coordinating efforts to reduce litter and organize beautification / restoration projects, St. John's Clean and Beautiful aims to create a spirit of pride in our city which results in St. John's being one of the most attractive cities in North America.
St. John's Clean and Beautiful has received a number of Awards and recognition over the years for its programs and achievements:
- St. John's Clean & Beautiful receives the Keep America Beautiful's Presidents Circle Award. This Award recognizes the high performance achieved by an affiliate in 2005 against Keep America Beautiful's standards of excellence.
