Who we are
The Lastwolf Alliance is a casual dual Alliance of smaller guilds from both the Kurzick and Luxon factions, in the game Guild Wars developed by ArenaNet and published through NCSoft. Our members include many couples and families, and are generally a more mature crowd than the stereotypical gaming community. The two lead guilds are the Badwolf Corporation (Kurzick) and The Last Platoon (Luxon).

The Past
The Lastwolf Alliance was originally formed on May 13, 2006 in response to a post on a Guild Wars message board which posed the question, “Why don’t smaller guilds and single players who feel disenfranchised by the alliance and faction farming / town control system band together?” That thread struck a chord within the community and received such an enthusiastic response that soon there were enough guilds and players interested in the idea to form both a Kurzick and a Luxon alliance. Thanks to the hard work of many individuals, both alliances grew, picking up new member guilds as well as individual players. Within a relatively short period of time, we forums were set up for our members to get to know each other and organize in-game events. Shared forum space helped to foster relations between the Kurzick and Luxon guilds and their members and made it easier to organize activities across faction lines.
The Present
Today we continue to welcome new members and look forward to meeting new allies from across all three Guild Wars campaigns. Though our forums have recently moved from their previous location, the spirit of cooperation and friendly, casual gameplay continues at our new home, where our members continue organizing events, including trips to the Fissure of Woe and the Underworld, the Domain of Anguish, the Deep, and Urgoz’s Warren, as well as organized trips through the storyline missions of Cantha, Elona, and Tyria to assist our members in obtaining Protector titles. In addition to these events, we routinely take advantage of special weekends put on by ArenaNet, whether it’s getting a chance to let some of our American and European players to explore the Fissure and the Underworld together, or teaming up for Canthan New Year quests and town celebrations. Currently we are anticipating the release of hard mode and preparing to help each other through whatever challenges this new form of gameplay presents.
The Future
With recent news of Eye of the North and the eventual release of Guild Wars 2, our members have started to consider what the future holds for our dual alliance. Plans to carry our community into the upcoming additions to the Guild Wars game world are starting now. We look forward to meeting the challenges posed by both GW:EN and GW2 with the same attitude of cooperative, friendly, casual play that has served us up to this point.

PVE & PVP
In general we are predominantly Player vs. Environment (PvE) based on both sides of the alliance, however, we have recently begun to move a little more into Player vs. Player (PvP), providing two official alliance teams for those who want to take PvP seriously - Heroes’ Ascent (HA) and Guild vs. Guild (GvG); while ensuring there's a healthy amount of interest for less competitive PvP gametypes, including Alliance Battles (AB) and Team Arenas (TA). We also support our members’ efforts on the newly-implemented Hero Battle ladder.
As of this writing the following members are in charge of our official teams:
- Devine Requiem, Heroes’ Ascent team leader.
- Verak Dvorjak, Guild vs. Guild team leader.

Would you like to join? We've made joining either alliance as simple as possible. You can either visit our site and enter your details in our recruitment form, reply to one of our recruitment posts which can be found on GWO or GWGuru, contact a lead member in-game, or e-mail someone from the appropriate faction. If you have a guild that wishes to join, our only requirement is that your guild leader owns a copy of Factions and has previously aligned your guild with the Kurzicks or Luxons. If you're an individual, then you are not required to own a copy of Factions. As of this writing, the Luxon side of the alliance has the maximum allowable number of guilds. |

Rules & Guidelines
We have no hard and fast rules above and beyond common courtesy and respect for your alliance-mates. Please make an effort to conduct yourself in a mature, friendly manner. Out of consideration for our minor members, please keep the language and tone of alliance chat at a reasonably kid-friendly level. Don’t mistake alliance chat for trade chat. Don’t spam or beg. Be mindful of the fact that this is a game and everyone is here to have fun and you will fit in fine!
