- Golfnet Inc was incorporated in 1983 (originally as Sumner Incorporated) in Bethesda, Maryland, and has provided golf handicap and tournament management systems and services since 1986, when it was awarded a contract to service the Middle Atlantic Handicap Program. Sponsored by the Maryland and Virginia State Golf Associations and the Middle Atlantic PGA, this program provided service to 53,500 golfers at 180 clubs.
