Botanical Pest Control
In August 2006, Xterm Pest Management annouced that it begin offer Botanical Pest Control services alongside of its Conventional Pest Control Services. The Botanical products used is engineered to effect insects and invertebrates only, leaving humans, mammals, fish, birds, and reptiles safe and without adverse effects. The Botanical products are classified as "Generally Recognized As Safe" (GRAS) and approved for food and beverage conception by the United States Food and Drug Administration.
Integrated Pest Management
Xterm Pest Management, as a company, is a major proponent of the application of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in residential and commercial applications. IPM is, in simple terms, the application of a broad spectrum of measures to control pests to minimize the use of pesticides.
The company supports this concept through its efforts to sell mechanical exclusion contracts (Xterm PestWorks), the variety of tools and chemistry it makes available to its technicians, and through the training it provides its technicians.
