Description

Industrial Automation Services Pty Limited (IAS) is a high technology company specialising in the computer control of industrial processes - with particular interests in the metals industry.

The staff of 40 includes engineers of various persuasions, computer scientists and mathematicians with specialist skills in mathematical modelling, real-time computer software engineering and industrial process analysis. These skills coupled with substantial industrial experience, particularly in the area of metals processing, have enabled IAS to develop an international reputation in control of metal processing plants.

The company is knowledge based as it generates its business by packaging 400 man years of experience in flat metal finishing operations in different ways: consulting services, rolling mill performance audits, training courses and, most significantly, in automation systems. The internationally known rolling technology course "IRTC", which started in 1990, has trained more than 1,000 engineers and operating staff from 180 companies located in 40 countries.
