Introduction
ProFightDB.com will be an online database of Professional Wrestling results.
The site will be free to use, and paid for through advertising methods, such as Google Adsense.
The site is independent and in no way affiliated with WWE or any other pro wrestling company.

Current Contents
The site's development database already contains the results of over 800 cards, 2,000 wrestlers and 6,000 matches. Amongst the existing content and content planned for inclusion are:

Awards and Hall of Fame entries
A list of entries into the WWF/E, WCW, Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Professional Wrestling Halls of Fame is included. A list of the entries in the PWI 500 for each year is also included. (PWI 500's from 1991-2007 are already in the database; 2008 is being added.)
Venues and Locations
Users will be able to run searches by venues and locations, e.g.: to see all events that took place at Madison Square Garden, or to see all known venues in Los Angeles. Searching is also possible by state/province and country.
Forums
It is anticipated that a forum will be included at launch-date, or shortly thereafter, to allow for users to point out any errors, so that they can be updated.
Updating
Long-term, it will be possible for users to update the database through the GUI. However, the site will not be a wiki, so edits will need to be verified by an administrator before being added. This is similar to the approach taken by the Internet Movie Database. In the meantime, requests for edits will take place through the forums once available.
