Hello everybody, and welcome to my cozy corner in the AboutUs community!
To kick things off, allow me to introduce myself. My full name is Hans-Peter Rot (Yes, I have a hyphenated first name; crazy, huh?), and I currently live in Oregon. Before taking residence here in March 2008 I lived in New Mexico for a few years, studying in the anthropology graduate program at New Mexico State University. Before that, I lived in my home state of Virginia.
While in New Mexico, I started doing work in the web editing and writing field to supplement my other various jobs as a graphic designer/museum assistant, mail order clerk, and farm intern (all at different times, of course!). This interest in writing took on a whole new spin when my girlfriend introduced me to wikiHow, an online how-to guide to just about everything.
After getting involved with wikiHow--writing articles, editing, reading the forums--I eventually found AboutUs and ever since, I've had a lot of fun writing articles and being part of an interactive community.
If you have any questions or comments--or just want to chit chat--feel free to get in touch with me. I'm never too far from a computer!
