What (summary)
Create tarball dumps of AboutUs database and make database dumps available for download. Database dumps should include complete text of current versions of all AboutUs articles. Database dumps should also include complete edit-history metadata.
Why this is important
Both Wikipedia and Wikia provide free database dumps available under the GNU Free Documentation License.
From Wikipedia: these databases can be used for mirroring, personal use, informal backups, or database queries. All text content is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL)
This data allows third parties to build services on top of AboutUs. For example, | WikiScanner allows people to run whois lookups on the IP addresses of anonymous editors on Wikipedia.
AboutUs edit history metadata can also be used to implement a third-part AboutUs search engine.
