Title
Welcome to The Inn at Box Farm
Description
Cedar shingles emerged as the preferred building material for siding in the 1600s. Resistance to rot, weather worthiness, ease if use, combined with the abundance of red cedar trees made it the perfect exterior finish for the modest homes of the time. The modern-day architecture referred to as "Hamptons Shingle Style" utilizes this humble building material as the finish for elaborate Hamptons estates.
Located in the beautiful community of Water Mill, in Southampton, New York, Box Farm is an original 1600's colonial farmhouse situated on twenty acres. The rarity and age of this residence, and architectural significance of the property have qualified it to be placed on the list of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Lovingly restored and beautifully decorated, Box Farm has three common rooms, a dining room and country kitchen, six beautiful bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, and a lovely porch, overlooking the Inn's own swimming pool, all less than one mile from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

A lovely B&B and so central to everything the hamptons have to offer.
Our only complaint it is getting increasingly harder to get a reservation. Don't forget your guests who were there long before Boxfarm became the 'darling' of the hamptons! We had a perfect romantic getaway. The rooms are positively beautiful! See you soon (we hope!).
