- 绵阳市城市建设档案馆于1986年10月经绵阳市编委批准，1987年4月正式建立，是绵阳市人民政府所属的科技事业单位。1999年9月，经绵阳市编委批准，增挂了绵阳市城建档案管理处的牌子，正式赋予行政管理职能。实行两块牌子，一套人员，内设办公室、业务指导科、档案管理科三个中层机构。归口绵阳市建委领导，业务上接收绵阳市档案局的指导、监督和检查。2003年2月事业单位体制改革，我馆被市编委列为监督管理类事业单位，管理体制、内设机构不变，编制增加到14人。
