Title
How to build your own computer
Description
About Me
Building and fixing up my own personal computers has been a hobby of mine since 1985. I learnt a lot about computers through playing computer games :) In the old days, when you had a computer game that simply did not work, you learnt the hard way to tweak your PC under it did.
My first computer was gift from a family friend - an old Apple II computer. I remember I tore that machine apart! I was in my early teens and I could not stop trying out different programs and investigating how and why the Apple II worked the way it did.
I swtiched to IBM PCs in 1987 with a 80286 machine. Boy was that an exciting feeling then (even with a small crummy 40MB hard disk). I tweaked the PC so I could play games. I learnt how to install DOS and Windows 3.1 - which were huge at that time.
