Promotex Inc. was founded in 1987 as an importer for Herpa Miniaturmodelle. Herpa is a German company known around the world for its exquisite vehicle models in 1:87th, 1:43rd and now 1:160th scales and aircraft models in 1:500, 1:400 and 1:200 scales. Working with Herpa parts, Promotex Inc. also began producing its own high-quality models for the collector and promotional markets in North America.
Fourteen successful years later, Promotex Inc. is North America's sole importer of the Herpa vehicle line. Promotex Inc. is also North America's largest manufacturer of 1:87th scale vehicles and has earned international recognition for the quality of its products. Promotex Inc. combines multi-sourcing of components and the artistry of its skilled staff to produce as many as 4,000 models per month for shipment around the globe.
