How to use this template?

  • for example: in subdomain.mainname.com put the code: {{SubDomainTestBox|mainname.com}}
  • It will create the box on the right with a link to the subdomain, a link to the main website (parent domain), and a link of AboutUs page for the main website.
  • It will add categories: Category:SubDomainTestBox and Category:SubDomain of mainname.com (the latter is useful if there's a lot of subdomain in the website)
  • The first category is included because many websites only have a few subdomains, but if it has many of them, then add a parameter "|cat=no": {{SubDomainTestBox|mainname.com|cat=no}} so that only the latter category is added. Each of them (i.e. Category:SubDomain of mainname.com) then should be categorized under Category:SubDomainTestBox

See example:

Parameter:

| - the first parameter should be the parent domain,
no caps, and no space (i.e. |aboutus.org = right,
| aboutus.org = wrong, |AboutUs.org = wrong) |thumbnail=<thumbnail>johntest.com</thumbnail> |pagelink=johntest.com |map= |badges=
