Title
Inrix
Description
Inrix addresses the need for real-time and predictive traffic information nationwide across a variety of platforms, devices and distribution channels. Our goal is to save time for individuals and businesses by providing them with critical, predictive traffic information. We accomplish this using powerful and intelligent Bayesian statistical analysis models integrated with real-time traffic information and a variety of other variables to tell people not only what traffic is like right now, but also what traffic conditions will be like in the future and how to best avoid the trouble spots.
We distribute real-time, predictive and forecast traffic information to a broad range of service providers, device manufacturers, Web sites and mobile solution providers in a hosted, business-to-business service model. Inrix, based in the Seattle area, was founded in July, 2004 by former Microsoft and Expedia executives Bryan Mistele, Craig Chapman and Seth Eisner. In April, 2005, Inrix completed a $6.1 million Series A funding led by Venrock Associates and August Capital.
Inrix Traffic Solutions are compatible with all map databases and universal traffic location codes. The services are delivered via XML data feeds and customized client applications.
