About Coach Joel Filliol

Joel is one of Canada's most experienced professional triathlon coaches. He has been involved in endurance sport since 1989 as an athlete and coach, balancing personal athletic experience, professional certification and education, up to date research and the latest technologies as well as extensive international coaching experiences to provide leadership that takes athletes performances to the next level.

Coach Joel Filliol has worked with a wide range of athletes throughout his career from first time triathletes and Ironman finishers, to developing and established elite athletes competing in Ironman and ITU World Cup competitions around the world.

In his two years at Canada's National Training Centre in Victoria BC, Coach Joel worked many of Canada's development Olympic level athletes with as well as consulting with world class athletes such as Olympic Champion Simon Whitfield, World #1 Greg Bennett, World Championship podium athlete Laura Reback, and others, on such areas as training with bicycle power meters, managing recovery as well as program planning and technology integration.
