Title
Welcome to the Coast Forest Products Association web site
Description
Coast Forest was established in 1993 to address issues unique to the coastal forest sector. The Association works with government and industry stakeholders to create forest policies that benefit the forest sector and, in turn, all British Columbians. In addition the Association ensures that the five coastal species and their product lines have preferred and unrestricted access to the global marketplace. Coast Forest’s goal is to be known for having the best products, best practices and for being the best supplier worldwide.
The Association is building partnerships with government and industry to promote coastal forest products and to increase our market share in existing and emerging markets. We will continue to introduce new products and brand existing products to increase visibility and command worldwide respect. This means ensuring customers are aware of the industry’s performance under rigorous environmental standards – now among the most stringent in the world.
Coast Forest members remain committed to the successful resolution of land use issues to maintain sustainable and affordable production levels which are the foundation for a strong and viable future for the industry. Our member companies are also committed to developing and implementing policies designed to improve safety standards and reduce work related accidents.
