What (summary)

Related to BotImprovesExistingPages and one of the last major pieces of ImplementAdultContentPolicy.

  1. Adds Category:PossibleAdultContent to all pages that are in other categories we've marked as a adult,
  2. Erases categories we've decided to purge,
  3. Erases related domains we've decided to purge

Why this is important

We want to support our growth using advertisements, but we can't on pages that refer to adult content so we need to identify pages on which we should not post ads. See also the why for ImplementAdultContentPolicy. When the categories are lousy, they become noise at the bottom of the page rather than providing useful navigation options.

DoneDone

The following pages have all been automatically flagged as possibly adult content by the bot:

The following pages that had categories to cull have had those categories removed from the page:

  • What are some of the categories?
  • What are some pages in those categories?

Steps to get to DoneDone

  • Determine what the actual name of the tag should be, e.g., "Possible Adult Content", "Refers to Adult Content", "For Mature Blah" ... Decided to stay with PossibleAdultContent
    • PossibleAdultContent
    • MayNotBeAppropriateForChildren
