It would be great if on every page, we had a "call button" which anyone could press in order to ask a more experienced user to look at and edit the page.
How it would work
- The button appears on every page and can be in one of two states, "pressed" or "unpressed"
- Anyone logged in user can press the button
- Once pressed, "[[Category:NeedsAttention]]" would be added to the page
- It remained depressed until the page is edited and the NeedsAttention category removed
- Upon doing so an e-mail or talk page comment is sent to the person who requested the page be updated
- We might also send out an e-mail to the website owner
Use Cases
- Someone would just like to see what we can do to improve a basic bot scrape
- Inappropriate content is reported
- Experienced users can respond to CallButton requests
