About AlIPur.com
Alipur Films, named after a district in Calcutta, is a forward thinking film production company with a conscience. Established in the UK by Ashvin Kumar in 2002 with the mandate of bringing Indian stories to an international audience. We live in exiting times, cinematically, where independent and foreign cinema have acquired a commercial and artistic logic of their own. As India joins the world economy, it makes a transition from a feudal and socialist past to a capitalistic meritocracy.
