Admissions
Admission to MERP is limited exclusively to those students who have been granted conditional acceptance to either Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) or American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) and then referred to MERP. Students cannot apply directly to MERP. Students applying to either RUSM or AUC will have their files reviewed by the respective school's Admissions Committee as part of the application process.
Curriculum
Students are taught four basic science courses:
- Anatomy/Histology
- Physiology/Biophysics
- Microbiology/Immunology
- Biochemistry/Molecular Biology
These courses are equivalent to four credits each and provide similar content and depth to those taught in the medical school curriculum. Students also can access course materials, supplemental information and their grades through an easily accessible online portal. Three exams account for the majority of the grade in each subject.
