Title
Family Trusted Child Identification
Description
Family Trusted Products, LLC is dedicated to creating technology-based products that reinforce the importance of safety to all family members. Family Trusted Digital ID is supported by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and is distributed to parents through community-based and other sponsors and events. Family Trusted Software also offers its Family Protection Edition, a comprehensive, home-based upgrade to the Family Trusted Digital ID program, available for purchase on this web site by clicking here.
Family Trusted Software created Digital ID at the request of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), a nonprofit organization co-founded in 1984 by John Walsh, host of America's Most Wanted. Nearly 2,000 children are reported to law enforcement as missing daily, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Walsh co-founded NCMEC to provide assistance to parents, children, law enforcement, schools and the community in recovering missing children and to raise public awareness about preventing child abduction, molestation and sexual exploitation.
NCMEC encourages parents to assemble a personal profile for each child, such as the Family Trusted Digital ID or Family Protection Edition, that can be accessed and distributed immediately in the event of an emergency. Time is critical in the recovery of a missing child, and NCMEC relies on parents' rapid response to the request for information.
