History

The founders of The Zeppo Network, Inc. provided an initial investment to fund product development and market testing of the ZeppOS total site management application. This funding laid the groundwork for the subsequent establishment of Zeppo’s subsidiary web design and hosting company – Empowered Internet Solutions which opened its doors on September 14, 2005.

Growth and Media Coverage

The company’s unique technology and its benefits quickly captured the attention of both the media and prospective customers. Media coverage included a feature article in Pacific Business News (October 2005), audio commentary from KSSK Radio’s Perry and Price Morning Show as well as feature articles in Hawaii Business Magazine, In-Magazine [1]and Pacific Edge Magazine[2]. By January 2006, Empowered's client base had grown to 80 clients thereby quickly establishing itself with the largest web client base in Hawaii. Empowered's rapid growth again caught the attention of the media with the announcement and on-air deployment of its 100th client live on the KHON-2 TV Morning News [3] in February 2006. On its one year anniversary of opening its doors, Empowered had further increased its client count to 150. Their current client count is at 300 and is rapidly growing. In October of 2006, Empowered set the stage for even more significant expansion with its announcement of new regional sales offices in Florida and California.
