What (summary)

Related to PurgingAndAdultCategoryMarking.

The format of the AboutUsBot generated pages was changed last September to provide proper attribution of content. We need an automatic way of re-creating those old pages to better attribute where the content comes from. Possibly on pageview (like the discussion and review bot).

Also,

  1. Cleans and rearranges domain pages,
  2. Changes domain pages to use the DomainPage rather than the Domain_Box template.

Why this is important

People don't like us to take more than a paragraph from their website, and they feel a lot better if the content that is used has been carefully attributed.

Also, this is part of the ImplementAdultContentPolicy project and related to RewriteAboutUsBot.

DoneDone

  • A user goes to a page that has existed in the system for a long time. The user sees that the content is attributed correctly if the only edit was by the AboutUsBot.

The following domain pages that had the old layout have been cleaned and rearranged ... they also now use DomainPage rather than the Domain_Box template.

  • What are some of these pages?
