Title
National Service-Learning Partnership:
Description
The Partnership, founded in 2001, is a national network of members dedicated to advancing service-learning as a core part of every young person’s education. Service-learning is a teaching method that engages young people in solving problems within their schools and communities as part of their academic studies or other type of intentional learning activity.
The network consists of more than 8,500 members in all 50 states. We are young people, teachers, parents, administrators, policymakers, education leaders, community partners, businesspeople, and researchers.
The Partnership is funded through grants from W.K. Kellogg Foundation and State Farm Companies Foundation. It is sponsored by the Academy for Educational Development, an independent, nonprofit organization committed to solving critical social problems.
