The director of Neo Vision Eye Center, Dr. Shobha Tandon, MD, PhD, is a board certified ophthalmologist who graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She then attended the prestigious Stanford University in California to complete her residency training, as the chief resident, in ophthalmology. Dr. Tandon is a published author in multiple peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals of the highest international repute (for details, see her complete Curriculum Vitae). Dr. Tandon is a certified surgeon for LASIK and other refractive surgeries. She was recently voted as “the Ophthalmologist of the year” by the Consumer Research Council.
Dr. Tandon has received numerous awards and scholarships including The Mead Johnson Award for Excellence in Research, The National Student Research Forum Award, Wallace McNutt Award for the highest achievement in Gross Anatomy, Dean's Scholarship, Texas Legislative Merit Scholarship, Bowen Vogt Medical Science Training Scholarship, and The Wooley Memorial Scholarship.
