General Pervez Musharraf imposed emergency in Pakistan on Nov 3, 2007. This infact is not emergency but Martial Law. This makes Pervez musharraf the only man in the country's democratic history, who has imposed the martial law twice in a country.

Currently, all the civilians are protesting against the illegal imposition of the army in the country.

As the fourth day after the emergency dawns, people in Pakistan continue to be very deeply aggrieved about the turn of events that took place in the past few days. People plan to show their concern about the situation by protesting and arranging demonstrations despite the brutal and inhumane tactics being used by the government to suppress genuine feeling of the general public of Pakistan. More people would be captured today, more people will get hurt; but no matter what they do, We the people have to show them that power is still in the hands of the people and not a single one citizen of this country will rest till this fiasco is dealt with in an exemplary manner.

May God give us all the strength to stand up and face the undoubtedly toughest times in the history of our country.

Real reason of the emergency

Mr. Musharraf was terrified that the supreme court of Pakistan will give decision against him. Supreme Court was hearing the case of the legality of his holding the President's Office side by side being a Chief of Army Staff. The other issue was whether he can be elected as the president of Pakistan for the third time (violating the clause which was made part of the constitution by the General himself) was going to be decided on Nov 5, 2007.
