Title
Gourmet on the Go!
Description
Chef Judy Adler has been cooking for family and friends for over twenty years. Gourmet on the Go was the natural outcome of Judy’s lifelong love of food and cooking. She launched her personal chef service in May of 2002 and has been feeding busy professionals in the Boston area ever since.
Judy found herself drawn to the kitchen at an early age. Her earliest inspirations came from her mother, her first easy-bake oven and watching episodes of Julia Child (with her mother). Travels throughout Spain, Italy and France provided additional inspiration and much of her cooking today reflects the flavorful, healthy cuisine she discovered in the Mediterranean.
While in graduate school, Judy discovered she loved baking more than she enjoyed working on her dissertation and this led to a stint as a professional baker for a small cafe in Providence, RI. Judy has since taken classes at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts and the Boston Center for Adult Education. She holds a certificate in Safe Food Handling by the National Restaurant Association and is in the process of becoming a Certified Nutritional Consultant through the Global College of Natural Medicine. Judy received her BA from Brandeis University and her MA from Brown University, both in Russian language and literature .
