The blogging community has shown us that publishing is no longer the sole bastion of big media companies. Wiki is similar, but takes a different approach. In a blogging world, one writer posts an article and many people are then asked to add comments. Wiki invites users to edit the same text and collaboratively make something better than one person could have alone.
Refactoring is powerful
There is so much information to read that less is most often more. Reading various comments and summarizing them into a more concise presentation of the information takes time, but readers appreciate it. Wiki technology does this very well, anyone reading an article is welcome to reorganize, add to, subtract from or otherwise improve the text. The more people read it, the better it gets - like polishing a pearl.
Wiki Linking is great
Drop a double bracket around any term and presto!, you've created an internal link. Wiki linking is magical, in fact its so easy that it is sometimes it's called "Automatical Linking".

Just enter the domain name (for example "Yahoo.com" or "AboutUs.org") in the search box on the left hand side of the page. On the home page, there is a also bigger version on top which is exactly the same.

In that it uses the MediaWiki engine...but you don't have to be famous or notable. We welcome content on all websites and subjects that are of interest to our readers and collaborators.
