What is the Homelessness Resource Center?
We are an interactive community of providers, consumers, policymakers, researchers, and public agencies at federal, state, and local levels. We share state-of-the art knowledge and promising practices to prevent and end homelessness through:
- Training and technical assistance.
- Publications and materials.
- On-line learning opportunities.
- Networking and collaboration.
Our Mission
We seek to improve the lives of people affected by homelessness who have mental health conditions, substance use issues, and histories of trauma.
Our Principles
- Foster a trauma-informed recovery system.
- Integrate consumers in all of our activities.
- Ensure cultural and linguistic competence.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration at all levels.
Our Goals
- Increase awareness, knowledge of resources, and capacity to help.
- Integrate and transform homelessness service systems.
- Access mainstream services for people experiencing homelessness.
- Support implementation of 10-Year Plans to End Homelessness.
- Support the uniqueness of PATH and its integration within ProviderWeb.
- Coordinate ProviderWeb activities with other federal efforts.
