The purpose of the strategic thrust is for us to develop a roadmap for how it intends to implement its vision of enhancing public safety by helping the nation identify and develop strategies, plans, and capabilities to address 21st-century threats. Our vision relates directly to what it believes are major management challenges facing the nation and the new administration - leading up to, during, and subsequent to the presidential transition.
