广同网络前身为本站创始人真言在1997年于上海创办的申同网站，1998年8月，与一广西籍网友合作改组为广同网络．广同网络曾先后推出天下广同、广州同志等多个独立网站，并分别在西陆聊天城及碧聊开通文字及视频聊天室．2002年正式注册广同中文域名("广同"及"广同.CN")．目前广同网络同时运营的网站有广同舆情中心("News.Gztz.Net")、广同聊天城("1069.Cn")、广同社区("Bbs.Gztz.Net")以及中国酷儿("Queer.Cn")．广同社区的前身是创建于1999年的广同留言本.2000年使用共享版SF2000程序创建了广同论坛，论坛总版主小艇（现居德国）．2001年论坛注册用户达七万余人成为当年国内用户人数最多的BBS．2002年由于不明黑客攻击，此论坛数据库被人破坏无法使用．2002年中，广同启用动网5.0程序恢复了论坛服务，论坛总版主大飞（现居广州）．2004年，广同论坛再次被攻击，在同一服务器上的交友系统也完全瘫痪．2005年，广同购买了独立服务器，租用１００Ｍ带宽，重新构建了社区系统．
