Kosciuszko Bushwalking Guide
If you're thinking of walking to the top of Australia (Mt Kosciuszko is only 2228m after all), then this guide can show you many other tracks besides the well-trodden path from the Thredbo chairlift to the summit. It describes 22 day walks (with many variations) in the alpine, subalpine and lowland areas of the magnificent Kosciuszko National Park.
The book contains detailed track notes, 17 full-colour topographic maps (including a large fold-out Alpine area map), colour-coded walk profiles showing all the ups and downs, and many photographs. It provides practical advice on travel, accommodation, planning walks and enjoying the many other activities in the Australian high country. Website support includes maps and GPS waypoint downloads, checklists, puzzles and solutions, and links to other reference sites.
The book can be purchased from the publisher using PayPal, or from map shops and some general bookshops.
