It all started in 2005, when what was just a website photo gallery sharing a few photos between friends, became a small online assortment of photos of different people's gap years, from photos of their schools, or photos of them on Contiki. In 2006, the site got bigger, with more emphasis on news, and events, rather than photos. This was largely due to the way that Facebook had taken off. The site still had an online community, but there was little to do.
