The Mission of Gadry Foundation is to improve the well-being of all children and families by eliminating the impact of poverty and through building communities and facilities to enrich their lives.
Description
- As our name suggests, it all started with a man who realized a gift within himself. A gift passed down from generations ago and is used today to help change peoples lives for the better.
- Our founder Abdel Gadry Diaby, was born in a small, humble town in Conakry, Guinea, where he grew up alongside fourteen brothers and sisters. With an estimated population of 10.2 million, Guinea is a wonderful tropical country with rich musical traditions, a major exporter of banana's, pineapples, coffee, and peanuts, richly endowed with minerals, and has great potential for hydroelectric power.
- Abdel's childhood was one of opportunity and a boy with a love for life. He felt his life was truly blessed, with one obstacle....... continuously surrounded by poverty, Abdel felt powerless not being able to change anything, apart from being able to offer kindness and share his meals with the other children who were without.
- This all made a deep and lasting impression on Abdel. With that, he realized that with an open heart, generosity, and devotion he could be a part of creating lasting change for children and families worldwide and begin making a difference. So began.....Gadry Foundation!
