Creation Goulburn-Murray Water is the trading name of the Goulburn-Murray Rural Water Corporation, which was constituted by Ministerial Order with effect from 1 July 1994 as the Goulburn-Murray Rural Water Authority and established as Goulburn-Murray Water Corporation as of 1 July 2007. The Corporation derives its powers from the Water Act 1989 and is responsible to the Minister for Water, the Hon. Tim Holding MP.
